Bayer Science Laboratory awaits visitors between 8th and 19th of May, 2017 at project’s 4th edition

Bucharest, April 5th, 2017 – „Science and joy all across the country” is, in 2017, the motto of Bayer Science Laboratory, educational project to take place between May 8th and 19th, in Bucharest and four other major cities. Teachers of pupils aged 6 to 12 may now register their classes on Baylab Romania website, baylab.bayer.ro, to enter the most exciting educational experience so far, with no costs attached.

For the first time, at a national level

Science must be fun and open to all children. Motivated by the success of the past three editions in Bucharest, which counted no less than 7,500 visitors, the organizers transformed the Science Laboratory into a national endeavor, with the support of academic partners.

Bucharest:  May 8th – 19th, at Bayer Office

Constanţa: May 8th – 12th, at „Ovidius” University

Iaşi: May 8th – 12th, at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, „Ion Ionescu de la Brad”

Cluj Napoca: May 15th – 19th, at „Iuliu Haţieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy

Timişoara: May 15th – 19th, at West University of Timișoara


The digital resources, to be uploaded year-round on baylab.bayer.ro ar the ones turning the Science Laboratory into an educational platform within the reach of pupils, teachers and parents across the country, in addition to the live sessions held in the 5 cities.


Other surprises of the 2017 edition


  • New set of activities and personalized content, developed in cooperation with partner universities
  • Sessions held by chemistry teachers, specialized in the investigation learning method
  • Unique educational materials, proving the little ones that science is actually part of the day to day life


 „Largest Science Lesson” – the educational challenge for teachers and pupils in the elementary grades


The passion for science has to be rewarded, and just as appreciation worhy is teachers’ effort to open children’s appetite for learning. Bayer Romania invites elementary school teachers to accept the challenge of the “Largest Science Lesson”, unfolding between May 2nd and May 8th, 2017 on baylab.bayer.ro, and compete for an instructive and attractive prize. To take part in this challenge, participants have to upload pictures of a science activity done in class.


When private and public sectors join forces for a common goal, the results are impressive


“High quality education and fostering innovation are fundamental for the long term success of any society and, when several actors in the private and public field join forces for a common goal, the results are impressive. In 2017, we gather around the Bayer Science Laboratory communities of teachers and representatives of the academic sector, in addition to our traditional partners, making possible the widest format so far. Live sessions will be rounded up by the resources to be made available on baylab.bayer.ro, a platform welcoming teachers, parents and little scientists.
